An aluminum gate gives you a clean-lined metal entrance without the rust or the repaint cycle. The frame is 6063-T6 aluminum, powder-coated and heat-cured, and far lighter than iron or steel, so it swings easy and takes a future operator. Aluminum gates are commonly cited to last 20 to 30 years, an outside figure we share as a guide, not a warranty.

Walk, driveway, or rolling: which aluminum gate do you need?

What hardware keeps an aluminum gate from sagging?

A gate stays square when four things are right: the hinge is sized to the leaf, the latch is a self-closing or gravity catch, the joints are welded, and the post is sized to the gate. Posts come in 3, 4, and 6 inch square aluminum.

A tall, wide, or high-wind gate gets a steel insert set inside the aluminum post for backbone, and the post stays aluminum on the outside. Heights are custom, and a matched, welded, self-latching gate that hangs level is our work, not a kit.

Automation-ready, without the motor

Every gate we build is automation-ready, but the motor is not ours to install. The construction is set for it, a reinforced bottom rail and correctly sized posts, while your automation contractor wires the drive. An automated gate is planned that way from the first measurement, when the hinge post, rail, and swing direction all change. Automatic-gate safety details come with the driveway gate itself.

The aluminum in every gate comes from SLEEKFENCE™, a premium American aluminum-fencing brand. PVAF is an authorized SLEEKFENCE™ installer and partner: their engineered material, our custom fabrication and welded install.

It is modern architectural aluminum with documented ratings, tested wind performance, ASTM E84 Class A flame and smoke, and a Qualicoat Class 1 coating to AAMA 2603. The material warranty runs 20 years on the aluminum, 10 on the coating, and 2 on steel components, backed by our own 5-year workmanship warranty on the install.

Built to last: finish, durability, and upkeep

The powder-coat finish keeps an aluminum gate low-maintenance for decades: applied electrostatically and heat-cured, it bonds into the metal rather than sitting on top. Two honest limits come with that warranty coverage: saltwater and coastal exposure are excluded, and a documented cleaning every six months keeps it valid. Aluminum is our premium tier and prices above vinyl, and we help you choose by look and budget.

What an aluminum gate costs to build

The price of an aluminum gate comes from the build, not a shelf tag. What moves it: the gate type, size and height, the posts and any steel insert, the color, and the site work. A real number takes a short, free visit. Height can also bring a building permit into play: in the City of LA a non-masonry fence or gate needs one only above 10 feet, and thresholds differ from city to city, so verify with your local building department.

Matching the Finish

A gate that reads as part of the fence starts with the same finish on both sides of the post. Black is what most people pick. White and a wood grain look are open on the slat styles, while contoured styles stay matte black. Every piece gets powder coated evenly, all the way around.
