Sunland is a neighborhood of the City of Los Angeles, set in the foothills of the northeast San Fernando Valley between the Verdugo and San Gabriel Mountains. It forms the western half of Sunland-Tujunga, splitting from Tujunga around Mount Gleason Avenue, and sits beside Angeles National Forest and Big and Little Tujunga Canyon.
Above it stands Mount Lukens, at 5,074 feet the highest point in the City of Los Angeles. The area grew out of the Rancho Tujunga tract, began as Monte Vista around 1885, and took the name Sunland in 1926. Foothill Boulevard is the main street, Bolton Hall the landmark, and Shadow Hills keeps a semi-rural, horse-friendly character. The ZIP here is 91040.

Here is what makes Sunland simpler than the towns a few miles west. Sunland was annexed to the City of Los Angeles in 1926, and Tujunga followed in 1932, so the whole community sits under one government.

White Privacy Fence, Sunland
The backyard in Sunland had an overgrown hedge growing along an old boundary line. Before any new fence could go in, our crew removed the hedge along with the aging boundary structure it had grown around, clearing the soil back to the original property line.
A white vinyl privacy fence was installed in its place. With the overgrown hedge and old fencing cleared away, the backyard now has a defined white vinyl line in their place, running the original property boundary.

White Wall Topper, Sunland
This Sunland backyard was already enclosed by a bare block wall, with no old fence in the way to remove first. A white vinyl privacy wall topper went in continuously along the top of the wall.
It adds height and coverage above the masonry without altering the wall underneath. The masonry stayed in place, now topped by a continuous run of white vinyl paneling.
Nairi was very professional and helpful with my fence toppers, and Chris the installer did an amazing job even through a bit of rain.
